Me and my wife, Hanrie got involved in the Cat Fancy in 1998, showing our first cat a Persian. We loved to show because we are great cat lovers and it was a hobby we could enjoy together. We got hooked and 1 cat led to another and another and Fancy Face Cattery got its humble beginnings. We were showing and Breeding with Persians, Exotics and Devon Rexes. We were interested in judging but started stewarding to show we were serious in taking the next step. We started the whole process becoming ALL BREEDS JUDGES in 2004, completing our General Course. We were proud in achieving our ALL BREEDS status by 2010. We started our own family in 2012, being Blessed with twins (Truhandie & Pieter-Jurie).We decided to stop breeding then to focus on our family. We didn’t want to leave the show scene and kept judging and got involved in Cat Clubs and Governing Body of CFSA.

All Breeds

Belinda has successfully bred and shown Siamese and Orientals under the "Serendippidee" and "Diamante" prefixes since 1975, producing several Cat, Kitten and Neuter of the Year winners. She began Judging Group 2 in 1987, extending to Group 3 in 2006, and gained her All Breeds Licence in 2008.

She has been an active member of Siamese and Shorthair Cat Club of Queensland since 1975 and is now a Life Member and Group 2 Tutor.

Away from cats, Belinda has a Ph.D. in Parasitology and is a Senior Veterinary Pathology Scientist. She also teaches Contemporary and Classical Ballet to professional level, and is a Mentor as well as a Practical Teaching Supervisor for the Royal Academy of Dance (London).
She still gets an enormous buzz out of watching kittens grow and her philosophy has always been to breed well–balanced, healthy, happy kittens for people who love the Siamese and Oriental breed.

I am a senior NZCF sh judge and I live with 3 very spoilt burmese.

My first experience with cat shows was as a teenager when we owned a beautiful blue persian, and were (probably like many before us) encouraged by its breeder to enter a cat show. Since then I have been lucky enough to meet some great people and have had a lot of fun and enjoyment in a very interesting hobby that involves judging, competiting, working at a show, or contributing as a club member.

Along with working full time, my other hobbies include collecting art, fashion design, and am also involved with other community based organisations.

Cat shows to me are all about seeing great cats, learning more about cats, and meeting interesting people (public or exhibitors) all of whom have some wonderful experiences to share; and it is my absolute priviledge to be part of this.
